Job Description:

A network engineer is the professional responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing computer networks—such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet infrastructures.

Responsibilities:

A network engineer ensures that communication systems between computers operate efficiently, securely, and reliably.

• Plan and design network architectures
• Configure routers, switches, and firewalls
• Monitor network performance
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Ensure network security (attack prevention)
• Implement wireless networks (Wi-Fi) and VPNs
• Update and maintain existing infrastructure

Requirements:

• Experience in designing and implementing projects
• Experience in troubleshooting
• Multi-vendor experience, preferably Cisco Systems / Meraki / Fortinet (Certified)
• Flexibility for a hybrid work model (remote work and office presence in Lisbon)
• Flexibility to perform migrations, which are sometimes carried out outside regular working hours
• Open to multi-technology environments: Data Center (DC), Switching, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN
• Flexibility to work with automation

• Knowledge of Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, or SDA (SDN)
