Job Description:
A Server Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of an organization’s server and backend infrastructure. The role focuses on keeping systems available, scalable, and secure for business operations and users.
Responsibilities:
•Build and operate Microsoft Azure Stack HCI (now Azure Local) infrastructure. Existing Azure Local knowledge is not required but experience with hypervisor operations is mandatory. •Manage and operate virtual Windows and Linux servers •Handle deployment and full lifecycle management including patching and upgrading •Monitor systems and distribute configurations •Manage backups for servers and infrastructure •Knowledge of Active Directory and EntraID •Experience with scripting languages, such as Microsoft Powershell •Additional knowledge of Microsoft PKI is desirable but not mandatory •Experience with Puppet configuration management is a plus •Troubleshoot and resolve server and infrastructure-related issues •Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure stable and secure operations •Document system configurations, procedures, and changes clearly
Requirements:
Ability to manage Azure Stack HCI / Azure Local infrastructure. Management of Windows and Linux virtual servers. Implementation, maintenance, and lifecycle management (including patching and upgrades). Monitoring and configuration management. Server and infrastructure backup management. Knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID. PowerShell skills (or other scripting languages). Knowledge of PKI (preferred, not mandatory). Experience with Puppet (valued). Ability to diagnose and resolve server and infrastructure issues. Strong collaboration skills with internal teams. Clear documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes.
