Job Description:

We are looking for a Tourism Domain Specialist with solid experience in the tourism sector and the ability to support public, regional or national initiatives, ensuring the definition, validation and interpretation of tourism indicators.

Responsibilities:

• Translate destination management needs into clear and measurable requirements.

• Validate access levels based on user roles.

• Support public or regional tourism projects and collaborate with multiple institutions.

• Work with tourism indicators and relevant data sources (INE, Eurostat, mobility, accommodation, air traffic).

• Document indicators and sources through a structured indicator dictionary.

• Define calculation rules for indicators, including thresholds and alerts.

• Support the definition of access schemes for sensitive indicators.

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of experience in the tourism sector at national and/or regional level.

• Experience working with tourism indicators and official data sources (INE, Eurostat), mobility, accommodation and air traffic.

• Ability to translate destination management needs into measurable requirements.

• Experience validating differentiated access based on user roles.

• Experience in public or regional tourism projects and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Additional (valued):

• Experience creating indicator dictionaries, documenting sources and update cycles.

• Definition of calculation rules, thresholds and alerts.

• Definition of access schemes for sensitive indicators.

• Participation in at least one regional or national tourism project in the past 5 years.
