Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist with experience in implementing and evolving Data Governance programs, with a strong focus on Microsoft Purview and the integration of data governance across the entire information lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and evolution of the organization’s Data Governance program.

• Configure, integrate, and optimize Microsoft Purview (catalog, classification, lineage, metadata, and policies).

• Ensure data governance is embedded throughout the full data lifecycle.

• Work closely with IT, Data, Security, and Privacy teams (CISO/DPO).

• Define and monitor policies, standards, metrics, and KPIs related to Data Governance and Data Quality.

• Contribute to the enablement of data owners, data stewards, and business teams.

• Promote data best practices and a data-driven culture across the organization.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Management, Economics, or a related field.

• Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (cataloging, classification, lineage, metadata, policies).

• Solid knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Privacy.

• Experience defining data governance operating models (roles, processes, and frameworks).

• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Based in Portugal.

Nice to have:

• Experience with other Data Governance tools (e.g. Collibra, Informatica).

• Knowledge of Azure and the Microsoft Data & AI ecosystem.

• Relevant certifications (Microsoft Purview, Azure, Data Governance, Data Management).

• Experience in complex and regulated corporate environments.

• Awareness of GDPR, Information Security, and Compliance topics.
