Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join a long-term project supporting global cloud architecture initiatives in an SAP ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong customer-facing consulting experience, advanced knowledge of SAP architecture in cloud environments, and solid familiarity with at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP). This is a hybrid role with at least 2 days per week in the office, and candidates must reside in Portugal.

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver cloud-based SAP architecture solutions to meet customer requirements.

Act as a technical advisor in client engagements, offering best practices and strategic guidance.

Support pre-sales and delivery activities across SAP and cloud integration projects.

Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to ensure architectural consistency and performance.

Stay current with technological trends and provide insight into innovation opportunities.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and consultants.

Travel to customer sites when necessary (short notice possible).

Requirements:

oBachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Business Administration required from an accredited university.

oHigh proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required

oHigh proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions.

oGood understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies, etc.)

oGood understanding of operational aspects (Application or Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.  

oGood understanding of capabilities of at least one Hyperscaler (AWS; MS Azure or GCP)

oAbility and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects

oWillingness to undertake customer-related travel on short notice

oCloud Associate or Solution Architect certifications are preferred (AWS, Azure, GCP)

•WORK EXPERIENCE:

o5+ years of customer-facing SAP Consulting experience.

o5+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture, and or SAP implementation.

oExperience in a customer-facing pre-sales role is an advantage.

oExperience with IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure, or GCP) and data centers is a big advantage.

oSAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills would be very helpful but not mandatory.

oMore than 5 Yrs of customer facing SAP Consulting experience
