Job Description:

A Data Engineer is a professional who builds and maintains the systems that allow organizations to collect, store, and use data efficiently.

Think of them as the infrastructure builders of the data world—they make sure data flows smoothly so others (like analysts or data scientists) can actually use it.

Responsibilities:

  • You develop reliable data products as the basis for innovative, user-oriented solutions for data analysis and prediction 
  • To accomplish this, you design, test and implement ETL loading routes in the Snowflake Data Platform 
  • You design and expand data models as required 
  • You analyze business requirements and create technical concepts and documentation as a basis for implementing the associated ETL loading routes 
  • You coordinate further development of solutions along with the dedicated departments within our organization 
  • You are jointly responsible for monitoring, quality assurance and error analysis/remediation in our data platform 
  • You constantly pursue optimization potentials for our analytics solutions, aiming to implement them

Requirements:

  • You have a degree in (business) informatics, engineering or a comparable qualification 
  • You already have experience as a data engineer or in comparable roles in the data management environment of a data warehouse or big data 
  • You are familiar with the relevant backend technologies in the field of analytics, in particular Snowflake and Talend 
  • You are an absolute expert in SQLs, ideally you are also familiar with programming languages such as Python and API interfaces 
  • You are a team player and you already have experience with agile working methods, ideally Scrum 
  • You are enthusiastic about revolutionizing the daily work of users with your contribution and thus significantly supporting data-driven decision-making processes and have experience in machine learning and AI 
  • Confident and business fluent communication in English, optionally German skills round off your profile
