Job Description:

We are seeking a Tech Lead to join our team in Lisbon, working hybrid. The role requires strong leadership in JavaScript development, proven experience in guiding engineering teams, and the ability to design scalable, high-performance backend solutions. 

Responsibilities:

• Liderar equipas de engenharia, fornecendo orientação técnica e mentoria.

• Arquitetar e manter serviços backend escaláveis com recurso a tecnologias serverless.

• Desenvolver código limpo, eficiente e bem documentado em Node.js, utilizando JavaScript e TypeScript.

• Conceber e evoluir APIs RESTful e microserviços alinhados com as melhores práticas.

• Colaborar com equipas multifuncionais (Produto, Design, QA) para entregar funcionalidades de impacto.

• Garantir qualidade do código através de testes, revisões e padrões de desenvolvimento.

• Monitorizar e otimizar o desempenho das aplicações, identificando e resolvendo gargalos.

• Promover uma cultura de excelência técnica, aprendizagem contínua e inovação.

Requirements:

•Lead by example with 6+ years of professional experience in JavaScript development, demonstrating deep technical expertise and mentoring capabilities.

• Apply 3+ years of proven experience as a Tech Lead, guiding engineering teams through architectural decisions and delivery execution.

• Architect and maintain scalable backend services serverless technologies, ensuring performance and reliability.

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Node.js, leveraging both JavaScript and TypeScript to support maintainability and team collaboration.

• Design and evolve RESTful APIs and microservices, aligning with best practices for modularity and scalability.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, design, and deliver impactful features that meet business goals.

• Code quality through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and continuous improvement of development standards.

• Monitor and optimize application performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements in scalability and reliability.

• Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with frontend frameworks like React or Next.js to support full-stack initiatives.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) for streamlined deployment and automation.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform to support scalable and maintainable cloud infrastructure.

• Cloud experience (GCP/AWS)
