Job Description:

We're hiring a Linux Automation Engineer for a hybrid position in Amadora (2 days/week onsite). The role requires a degree in IT-related fields and strong experience in automation, Linux administration, and system security, along with a mandatory RHCE certification.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and automation projects

Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform or similar tools

Administer Linux servers, create shell scripts, configure services, and manage OS resources and updates

Apply and audit security hardening at OS and application levels

Manage and monitor Linux implementation projects (preferably automated)

Troubleshoot Linux systems, network services, and related components

Requirements:

- Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems and Technologies;

- Minimum Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification - mandatory

- Knowledge and experience of at least 5 years in developing Ansible playbooks and implementing Ansible automation projects;

- Knowledge and experience of at least 3 years in implementing infrastructures using automation in Terraform or other equivalent tool;

- Knowledge and experience, of at least 3 years, in Linux servers, in the development of scripts in shell script or other scripting language, in the installation, configuration and management of services, management of operating system resources, management of users, groups, permissions, packages (includes creation) and updates;

- Knowledge and experience of at least 3 years in security, including the ability to implement security measures (hardening) at both levels, operating system and application, and carry out regular security audits;

- Knowledge and experience of at least 3 years in implementation management, namely planning, executing, controlling and monitoring implementation projects for Linux Red Hat systems or derivatives, preferably using automation;

- Knowledge and experience of at least 3 years in troubleshooting, including diagnosing and resolving problems related to Linux Red Hat systems or derivatives, network services and other components of the ecosystem.
