Job Description:

We are looking for a DBA with experience in Oracle and PostgreSQL to manage, maintain, and optimize database environments. This role is suited for mid to senior professionals with a focus on performance, availability, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Administer Oracle and PostgreSQL databases (installation, configuration, maintenance)
• Perform performance tuning (query analysis, indexing, execution plans)
• Manage backup and recovery processes (RMAN)
• Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Data Guard, replication, clustering)
• Monitor systems and perform troubleshooting (OEM, scripts, monitoring tools)
• Ensure database security (user management, roles, encryption, auditing)
• Execute database migrations and upgrades
• Automate tasks using scripting (Shell, Python or equivalent)
• Collaborate with technical teams in Agile/Scrum environments

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Management, or related field
• 5 to 10 years of experience as a DBA
• Strong experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience with backup & recovery (RMAN)
• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Knowledge of database security practices
• Experience with scripting for automation
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments
• Cloud experience (AWS RDS, Azure Database or similar) is a plus
• Strong analytical and communication skills
