Job Description:

We are looking for a Quality Tester to join a leading Oil & Gas company, contributing to the design, development, and execution of automated and manual QA processes. The role requires a mix of hands-on testing skills, knowledge of automation frameworks, and the ability to coach and mentor team members in best QA practices.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute automated Quality Assurance tests for complex systems.

Create and execute test scripts in Java, SQL, Gherkin, and related languages.

Perform manual testing and create/maintain test cases and test plans using Jira, ADO, or similar tools.

Manage and resolve defects within a structured defect workflow.

Modify and optimize existing automation scripts to meet specific company requirements.

Conduct Automated Regression Testing and ensure test coverage across environments.

Support and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases.

Integrate QA processes into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ADO, GitHub Actions).

Leverage tools such as Cypress, Appium, Cucumber, BrowserStack for test execution.

Work with monitoring and auditing tools (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, Vault).

Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams, participating in sprint ceremonies and continuous improvement.

Mentor and coach QA team members to build testing maturity.

Requirements:

•Performing moderately complex work in research, design, development, and execution of automated Quality Assurance Tests.

•Creation and execution of test scripts in languages such as Java, SQL, or Gherkin.

•Applied knowledge in creating, updating, and resolving defects within a defect workflow.

•Modifies existing automation scripts to meet unique company needs and configurations.

•Mentoring and Coaching Team-members.

•Prior work in Agile Scrum paradigm.

•Repository practice (i.e. Git, GitLab or Bitbucket)

•Quality Management tools (Jira, ADO, etc..)

•Cucumber

•Gherkin

•Manual tests

•Creation and maintenance of test cases and test plans for management tool (Jira, ADO, etc..)

•User Acceptance Testing knowledge
