Job Description:

We are looking for a Big Data Administrator to operate and support a Cloudera-based Hadoop platform in an on-premise production environment. This role is focused on platform administration, infrastructure, and system-level operations, not on data engineering or analytics

Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Cloudera/Hadoop clusters in production.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Provide L3 support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Monitor and manage HDFS, YARN, and Kafka services.
• Ensure data integrity, replication, and capacity management.
• Manage security and access controls (Kerberos, Ranger/Sentry, TLS).
• Automate operational tasks using Ansible and Python/Java.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams (network, storage, security).
• Maintain documentation and share operational knowledge.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a Big Data Platform / Hadoop Administrator role.
• Strong experience with Cloudera, Hadoop, YARN, Kafka.
• Solid Linux and system-level troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Ansible and scripting (Python, Java).
• Knowledge of Kerberos and access control policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
