Job Description:

We are looking for a professional to join a public administration project in Portugal on a part-time basis. The work will be performed asynchronously, but availability to attend meetings in Portugal’s time zone is required. The main focus will be to support the migration of a Java-based system to Python, using Oracle as the database.

Responsibilities:

Support the migration and rewriting of functionalities from Java to Python.

Adapt integrations and services to the new technology stack.

Perform queries and operations on the Oracle database.

Collaborate with the development team and project stakeholders.

Attend meetings and provide progress updates.

Requirements:

Proven experience in Java and Python development.

Strong knowledge of Oracle databases.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Availability to participate in meetings in Portugal’s time zone.

Previous experience in system migration projects is a plus.
