Job Description:

A Field Deskside Support technician is responsible for on-site IT support, helping employees resolve hardware, software, and network issues directly at their desks or office locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite technical support to end users (deskside support);
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems;
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft tools and applications;
  • Identify and resolve hardware and software issues;
  • Replace and repair microcomputer components;
  • Configure and maintain networked devices in Microsoft environments;
  • Perform IP network troubleshooting and issue resolution;
  • Configure shared printers and file/folder access;
  • Manage security settings and permissions in Windows systems;
  • Support printing equipment and audiovisual devices (e.g., projectors and sound systems).

Requirements:

  • Experience in technical support/deskside roles;
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems;
  • Experience with Microsoft tools and environments;
  • Hardware knowledge and troubleshooting skills;
  • Ability to diagnose software and OS-related issues;
  • Basic knowledge of IP networking;
  • Experience configuring network printers;
  • Knowledge of security and access management;
  • Familiarity with audiovisual equipment;
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Good communication and user-oriented approach.
