Job Description:

We are looking for a professional responsible for administering corporate backup and storage solutions, ensuring data security, availability and recovery. They will focus on business continuity, virtualization and datacenter management.

Responsibilities:

Backup:

Manage backup solutions (Backup Exec, Avamar, Networker, Veeam, DataDomain).

Create and apply data protection and tape archiving policies.

Conduct disaster recovery tests and maintain compliance with audits.

Manage the entire backup infrastructure (hardware, cabling, virtualization).

Execute Veeam migration roadmap.

Storage:

Install and maintain corporate storages (NetApp, HP 3PAR, Alletra).

Perform online/offline migrations (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).

Manage incidents and ensure high data availability.

Other activities:

Implementing HA/DR solutions.

Working on projects with internal teams.

Administering data centers (physical and logical infrastructure).

Managing SAN/NAS environments and fiber networks (iSCSI, FC).

Managing virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).

Requirements:

Backup Management:

▪ Design, implement and management of enterprise backup solutions using Backup Exec, Avamar, DELL EMC DATADOMAIN, NETWORKER and Veeam, coverage of all systems, applications, and databases;

▪ Develop data protection policies and continuously improve backup and storage processes

▪ Tape Storage Management (archiving with policies)

▪ Develop plans for business continuity achieved by implementing best practices for each sector, application and database optimizations, Disaster simulations with recovery points and hardening of the solutions. Also audit response for compliance.

▪ Diagram control

▪ Responsible for managing all the Backup infrastructure (starting with the hardware, cabling and more... going to virtualization)

Big Project: Roadmap from Veritas Backup Exec, Avamar and DELL Networker with DataDomain to VEEAM

Storage Management:

▪ Install and manage enterprise storage systems (NetApp, HP 3PAR, HP Alletra), ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.

▪ Live/Offline storage migrations (VMWARE, Hyper-V, PROXMOX)

▪ Incident management, including resolution and communication

Other Tasks:

▪ Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for Storage and Backups.

▪ Project Development directly with the teams

▪ Datacenter Management (infrastructure IT)

▪ SAN/NAS and FC Management (ISCSI, SFPs, FC)

▪ Systems administrator for VMWARE, Hyper-V and PROXMOX (virtualization)
