Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Vulnerability Manager with strong technical skills and strategic vision to join a cybersecurity team at a leading telecommunications company. The ideal candidate will be highly autonomous, critical, and results-oriented, with solid experience in vulnerability management and security breach exploitation.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an up-to-date strategy for the vulnerability management process, ensuring a clear view of risks and the effectiveness of mitigations;

• Perform vulnerability assessments on systems, networks, and applications to identify potential security weaknesses;

• Analyze and interpret the results of vulnerability scans or pentest reports to determine the severity and potential impact of identified vulnerabilities;

• Validate whether vulnerabilities are effectively exploitable, proving whenever necessary by exploiting them, even if this requires the creation of code or mechanisms for this purpose;

• Prioritize vulnerabilities based on their severity and potential impact on the organization's operations, assets, and information;

• Ensure with the areas involved that there are remediation plans in place to address the identified vulnerabilities;

• Clarify the teams involved in the process to ensure timely and effective resolution of vulnerabilities;

• Stay up to date with the latest security threats and trends;

• Document vulnerabilities and remediation activities to maintain an accurate, central, and comprehensive record of the organization's security posture;

• Track and report global vulnerability indicators for the organization.

Requirements:

• Higher education degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience;

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in equivalent roles;

• Ability to exploit vulnerabilities;

• Ability to identify and manage risks;

• Ability to implement new processes and align multiple teams;

• Communication and interpersonal skills;

• High degree of autonomy, responsibility, proactivity, and dynamism;

• Critical and results-oriented thinking;

• Leadership and teamwork skills;

Nice to have:

• Experience with vulnerability management platforms;

• Scripting and programming (Python or equivalent);

• In-depth, low-level knowledge of operating systems (Windows and UNIX);

• Experience with dashboarding, monitoring, and reporting activity KPIs.
