Job Description:

We are looking for a PHP Developer with 3+ years of software development experience to join digital transformation projects in the European Funds and Investments sector. The role involves designing and developing robust, accessible, and secure systems to support the management of EU funding programs in Portugal, including PEPAC, contributing to the digital modernisation of key agricultural and economic processes.

Responsibilities:

• Define system architecture and develop web applications using PHP.

• Design and implement full stack solutions with PHP (7 or 8), Symfony, and MySQL.

• Develop front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Model and optimise database structures, including stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

• Ensure code quality and maintainability following OOP, Design Patterns, Clean Code, and PSR standards.

• Implement and integrate REST/SOAP web services.

• Collaborate with the team in agile development and version control using GIT.

• Ensure compliance with accessibility and W3C standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in software development.

• Proven experience in Full Stack PHP applications (version 7 or 8).

• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.

• Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks, preferably Symfony (v5 or v6).

• Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, Clean Code, and PSR.

• Experience in REST/SOAP web service integration.

• Familiarity with GIT, MVC, and Agile methodologies.

• Team-oriented, responsible, and proactive.

• Availability for hybrid work model (3 days/week in Lisbon).

  Preferred skills:

  • Experience with microservices, Docker, Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), Composer, PHPUnit, Yarn, HTML5, CSS3 (SASS).

  • Experience with advanced JavaScript, jQuery, and/or Vue.js.
