Job Description:

A network engineer is the professional responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing computer networks—such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and internet infrastructures.

Responsibilities:

A network engineer ensures that communication systems between computers operate efficiently, securely, and reliably.

• Plan and design network architectures
• Configure routers, switches, and firewalls
• Monitor network performance
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Ensure network security (attack prevention)
• Implement wireless networks (Wi-Fi) and VPNs
• Update and maintain existing infrastructure

Requirements:

Available to implement projects and operate existing solutions (troubleshooting and configuration adjustments)

Some experience/certification and willingness to grow and work in a team

Open to multi-technology, multi-vendor environments: DC, Switching, WiFi, SD-WAN (Cisco/Meraki/Fortinet)

Flexibility for a hybrid work model (remote work and on-site in Lisbon office)

Flexibility to carry out migrations that are sometimes performed outside regular hours

Flexibility to work with automation
